Exhibition of the results of the aac workshop "Athens Central: A new Destination for National Mobility and Urban Life”.

Date: 28 September to 23 October 2026
Mon-Fri from 10.00 - 16.00 (except bank holidays) and on appointment
Location: aac lecture room, ground floor, Rainvilleterrasse 4, 22765 Hamburg

The participants explored the question of how a modern central station could bring neighbourhoods together instead of dividing them with its tracks. Using Athens Central Station as a case study, they considered how the surrounding area could be developed into a sustainable urban hub to invigorate the neighbourhood for the future.

Designs were conceived and developed in internationally composed groups. In addition to tutorials and interim presentations, the workshop was accompanied by a public lecture programme.

The workshop was under the guidance of Dipl.-Ing. Arch. Magdalena Weiß with Dipl.-Ing. Arch. Jan Stolte.

We look forward to your visit!
