Prof. Dipl.-Ing. Petra Riegler-Floors studied architecture at RWTH Aachen and ETSAV Barcelona. From 2004 onwards, she worked as an architect and project manager in architectural offices in Vienna and Cologne. At the same time, she was a research assistant at the Chair of Housing and Design at RWTH Aachen (2007-08) and at the Chair of Building Construction, Design and Materials Science at the University of Wuppertal (2013-2020). Since 2020, she has been Professor of Circular Building, Construction and Materials at Trier University of Applied Sciences. She is one of the main authors of the "Manual of recycling" published in 2019.
