Exhibition of the results of the aac workshop "Residenzschloss Dresden: New Work at Staatliche Kunstsammlungen Dresden”.

This year's autumn workshop of the aac focused on the Residenzschloss Dresden as a modern place of reference for work.

Under the guidance of Volkwin Marg and Stephan Schütz with Nicolas Pomränke and Christian Hellmund, the international scholarship holders developed design strategies for the development of the employee spaces that exist within the palace walls. In this way, spaces are to be created that support the qualifications of the employees, reflect the significance of the work and promote a mutually enjoyed presence.

The task combined the challenges of built resources with the development of design typologies regarding modern work environments. For the second time, the SKD provide the real life parameters to a future-relevant aac workshop topic.

Designs were conceived and developed in internationally composed groups. In addition to tutorials and interim presentations, the workshop was accompanied by a public lecture programme. A joint excursion to Berlin and Dresden was also part of the workshop programme.
