Charles Renfro joined Diller Scofidio + Renfro (DS+R) in 1997 and became a Partner in 2004. He has led much of DS+R's academic portfolio, including the Columbia Business School and the studio’s first concert hall outside of the US - The Tianjin Juilliard School in China. Currently, he is leading the design of multiple interdisciplinary arts centers, such as the new home for the Afro Latin Jazz Alliance in New York, and Sarofim Hall, a new home for the Rice University’s visual arts in Houston. He is two-time Out100 list honoree and a faculty member at the School of Visual Arts in New York.
