Bernhard Karpf has been with Richard Meier & Partners since 1988, an Associate Partner since 2001 He was the Design Partner for the Museum Frieder Burda in Baden-Baden and the Coffee Plaza office complex in Hamburg and has been overseeing the design and construction of many projects in Europe, Latin America and the United States. He has lent his expertise to numerous projects such as 165 Charles Street apartments in New York City and the Arp Museum in Rolandseck and collaborated in projects including the Canal+ Headquarters in Paris and the Siemens Corporate Headquarters in Munich. Bernhard Karpf studied architecture and literature at the University of Stuttgart, the ETH Zurich and the TU Darmstadt. With a DAAD fellowship he studied at Cornell University. He is a licensed architect in New York State and in Germany and is a member of the AIA.
