Exhibition of the results of the aac workshop "Expo 2035 ∙ TXL: Transforming the Legacy of the Airport into a Vision for the Future”.

The participants explored the question, 'In what ways can major events act as visionary catalysts for urban development?'. They examined how the construction measures required for a world exhibition, using the example of the possible EXPO 2035 on the site of the former Tegel Airport (TXL) in Berlin, can be used as the basis for vibrant urban development.

Designs were conceived and developed in internationally composed groups. In addition to tutorials and interim presentations, the workshop was accompanied by a public lecture programme. 

The workshop was under the guidance of Dipl.-Ing. Architekt Stephan Schütz with Dipl.-Ing. Architekt Nicolas Pomränke.
