José Mario Gutierrez Marquez, born 1958 in Rosario/Argentina, is an architect and co-founder of the architecture studio Bruno Fioretti Marquez. Multiple times a guest professor, between 2007 and 2010 he has been invited as professor for "Building within existing Architecture" at the Brandenburg University for Technology Cottbus-Senftenberg, Germany. Since 2011, he is Professor for Architectural Space and Design at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar, Germany. Since 2013 he is a member of the Architectural Advisory Board of the Hanseatic City of Stralsund. Bruno Fioretti Marquez received many awards, amongst others the “Bauen im Bestand Preis” for the conversion and extension of Schloss Wittenberg, the “Hugo Häring Award” for the KinderUniversum in Karlsruhe and the „DAM Preis für Architektur in Deutschland“ for the Neue Meisterhäuser in Dessau, realised in 2014.
