Ivan Reimann was born in Prague in 1957. He studied architecture at TU Prague and Berlin as well as at the Architectural Association in London. Together with Thomas Müller he founded the architectural practice Thomas Müller Ivan Reimann Architekten in 1994. Since 1999 he has been teaching as a Professor for Design and Building Theory at TU Dresden. An invitation as guest critic at Harvard University Graduate School of Design, Cambridge/ Massachusetts in 2004 and a visiting professorship at UMPRUM in Prague in 2014 followed. Among his most important projects in Berlin are new premises for the Federal Foreign Office and the Federal Ministry of the Interior, the office and commercial buildings at “Leipziger Platz” and “Hackesches Quartier” as well as the faculties of “Law and Economics” and of “Social and Educational Studies” including Executive Board at Campus Westend at the Goethe University in Frankfurt/M.
