Fabian Hörmann was born in 1978 in Bielefeld/ Germany, architect and musician living and working in Zurich since 2001. He studied architecture in Stuttgart and Las Palmas and worked in the fields of film, media and architecture in Germany, The Netherlands and Switzerland. From 2001 – 2002 and from 2004 – 2006 he worked at EM2N before running his own architectural practice BEACH and co-founding the cultural platform FC Hinterhof in Stuttgart. In 2009 he became an associate at EM2N’s management board, heading the competition and design department which also develops research-based publications and exhibitions. Member of Architects Group Krokodil since 2008. In 2010 he co-founded the alternative-rock band GRAN NOIR. He was assistant curator for the exhibition “Together!“ of the Vitra Design Museum in 2018.
